The Bag Tour hosted its inaugural Bag Tour Invitational event on October 19th, 2021 at the prestigious Balsam Mountain Preserve in Sylva, NC. Balsam Mountain Preserve is an Arnold Palmer Design Masterpiece rated Top 20 in the Golf Digest - "Best in the State for 2021". Acclaimed as one of the finest and most visually stunning mountain courses in the country. Balsam Mountain may best be described as a sanctuary - A place virtually untouched by man. Now home to the Bag Tour Invitational powered by Outerlinks. The invitational is an annual event, with a field limited to 60 total players.
Pictured: The 16th Hole at Balsam Mountain Preserve. What opens as one of the most beautiful and difficult tee shots on the course, the Par 4 - 16th hole stands at 481 yards from the Champion tees. Don't miss left or you can kiss your ball good bye.
Andrew Watkins and Mike Thornburg played lights out to win the inaugural Bag Tour Invitational. After dominating the Championship flight with a score of (-9) 63, players finished things off by winning the alternate shot showdown between all of the other flight winners. Watkins & Thornburg closed out Garcia & Hunter in the 2nd Showdown Hole.
